ROOTED™ Creative Circle is a culturally grounded youth leadership and emotional wellness initiative designed to strengthen emotional resilience, creative expression, leadership development, and community belonging among African diaspora and multicultural youth.

Through creative arts, restorative dialogue, mentorship, and leadership development experiences, youth are empowered to develop healthy identity formation, emotional awareness, collaborative leadership skills, and positive peer relationships within emotionally safe community spaces.

      Healing Family Wounds Organization offers ROOTED™ Creative Circle through two flexible program delivery models designed to increase accessibility for youth across schools and communities.

      This dual model approach allows schools, counties, nonprofits, and community partners to implement the program in ways that best meet the needs of youth and families.

      OPTION 1: School-Based After-School Cohort Model

      ROOTED™ Creative Circle – 12 Week School Partnership Program

      The school-based model is designed as a structured after-school youth development and emotional wellness cohort implemented directly within schools or educational partner sites.

      This model allows youth to receive consistent emotional wellness support, leadership development, mentorship, and community belonging experiences within familiar educational environments.

      Program Structure:

      • Duration: 12 Weeks
      • Frequency: 1 Session Weekly
      • Session Length: 2 Hour Sessions
      • Cohort Size: 15 to 25 Youth Participants
      • Age Groups: Middle School Cohorts & High School Cohorts

      ROOTED™ Creative Circle – Monthly Community Youth Experience

      The community based model was created to ensure youth and families can still access emotional wellness, leadership development, and healing centered community experiences even when school based implementation is not available.

      This model allows Healing Family Wounds Organization to reach youth directly within community settings through immersive monthly gatherings centered on healing, creativity, leadership, mentorship, and belonging.

      • Session Length: 4 Hour Community Experience
